Title: "Male pubic Hair"

Gallery Image, Demorummet from 23. april 2010 - 23. may 2010

A lump of history: According to myth, "The Great Castration Event" took place in the Vatican in 1857. The Pope ordered all phallic imagery to be removed from Vatican sculptures in order to curb lust among papal employees. The Phallus was to be exchanged for the fig leaf. In the light of the cultural history of nudity in Århus, I have made a cast of the male pubic hair from the sculpture "Agnete & Havmanden". Here we find the designation of nudity being questioned: censorship is never constant, it is always with us when art is at issue.

Title: "Darkroom". From the group-exhibition Lost & Found at Nikolaj Exhibitionhall, Copenhagen:

From 30. may 2009 - 02. august 2009

Deltagende kunstnere: Kunstnere: Elmgreen & Dragset (DK/NO), Mary Coble (US), Ingo Taubhorn (DE), Tejal Shah (IN), Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay (CA), Conny Karlsson (SE), Flemming Rolighed (DK), Aleesa Cohene (CA), Kimberly Austin (US), Cecilia Barriga (CL) og Heidi Lunabba (FI), Al Masson (FR/DK) .

Old work from a censored exhibition. Unilever withdrew sponsorship because of gay-theme, and articles were in many countries. The Art Newspaper as well.
